Spring is on the way

2009.02.15, Sunday

The red berries of the hawthorns and the deep green of the hemlocks stand in contrast to the browns and grays still dominant in the rest of our sleeping garden. It won’t be long, however, before things become impatient with their long dormancy and burst back into view with rich and varied shades of green. Soon after that there will be the pink, red, orange, yellow, and blue of flowers everywhere.

Stop by the garden now and take a good look. You’ll enjoy the contrast that much more this spring.
